All About Mrs. Jessica Emory

Mrs. Jessica Emory began her career as an educator in Massachusetts in 2001.  She taught middle grades Language Arts and Science for two years in Beverly Public Schools for 6th and 8th grade students.  In 2003 she moved to Raleigh, North Carolina with her best friend from college.  During her time "up state" Mrs. Emory continued to teach both Science and Language Arts to 7th grade students in Orange County Schools.  She moved to Wake County Schools as an 8th grade Language Arts teacher and after receiving her Masters in School Administration from NCState, she served as a middle school Assistant Principal for 8 years with Wake County.

Mrs. Emory was named the Principal of Banks Road Elementary School in Wake County until moving here in October of 2017 when she was appointed the Principal of Harkers Island Elementary School.  In November of 2017 she married Vince Emory, a local commerical fisherman from Cedar Island.  In July of 2018 she was transferred to Beufort Middle School as the Principal.

Middle School is Mrs. Emory's first love and she is thrilled to return to her roots by serving the BMS community.  She is currently finishing up her doctorate at NCState and looks forward to spending the duration of her career in Carteret County Schools.
